About me

Hi ! My name is Emma, I am a digital artist that has a passion for creating portraits for people all over the world, and bringing together family members and loved ones. As a child I often found myself drawing portrait after portrait on the floor in my room, and of course my mum still has them to this day! I continued exploring my artistic creativity throughout high school and then eventually graduating from Auckland University of Technology with a degree in Design. I specialised in digital design which was very app and website focused. During this time I continued to create portraits for my friends and family for fun as a break from my studies.

During the 2020 lockdown in New Zealand I brought out my old tablet and started creating portraits, which ignited my passion again for creating for those around me. After many months of drawing portraits for fun I was contacted to create a portrait of a grandfather that had passed away 10+ years ago with a newborn. This opened up a new area of my passion that I never knew existed, and has made me so proud of my work. I developed my skills to be able to create natural portraits which show complete togetherness between individuals that could not be together at this time, but can be in the portraits I create.

Whether it is bringing together loved ones that passed away many years ago with family members of today, or simply connecting family members that have not been able to be together during this time. It is so amazing to see how my work can bring others so much joy seeing their family members together, which in return makes me so proud of what I can do for people around the world.
